The decompensation choke DEKOMP 12,5 -Reactors are used to eliminate unwanted capacitive power, which can occur in long unloaded power lines. They are equipped with thermal sensors (PTC or bimetal) embedded in the winding, allowing continuous monitoring of thermal stress. In case of overheating (120–140 °C), the sensor automatically disconnects the affected stage, protecting the insulation and core from damage.
