NOVAR 1114 reactive power regulators are fully automatic devices enabling optimal control of reactive power compensation. In terms of connection they are compatible with the original.They are designed for applications that require high control accuracy even at low loads, ventilation control and possibly additional extension functions.

The control takes place in all four quadrants and its speed depends on both the size of the control deviation and its polarity (overcompensated or uncompensated. Connection and disconnection of the compensation capacitors is performed in such a way that the optimum state of compensation is achieved with a single control intervention and a minimum number of switching stages. In doing so, the device selects the individual stages with respect to their uniform loading and preferentially pins the stages that have been unplugged for the longest time and whose residual charge is therefore minimal.
