The CTU33 is a thyristor switching module designed for interphase reactive power compensation by switching single-phase compensation capacitors. It is ideal for operations with rapid or periodic load changes, such as welding shops, pressing plants, elevators, and cranes.

Key Features:

  • Zero-Voltage Switching: The module switches at the moment when the voltage difference between the capacitor and the system is zero, significantly reducing current surges and extending the lifespan of capacitors.
  • Fast Response: Activation occurs within 10 ms of receiving a signal from the reactive power controller, allowing up to 50 capacitor connections per second without the need for discharging.
  • Overheat Protection: An integrated temperature sensor protects semiconductors from damage due to high temperatures; the module shuts down if the temperature exceeds 80 °C.
  • Control Voltage: 24 VDC or 230 VAC.
