CTU03 - thyristor switching module

CTU03 thyristor switching modules are designed for switching single-phase compensation capacitors in symmetrical three-phase power factor compensation in operations with rapid or periodic load changes - welding shops, press shops, elevators, cranes. The design of CTU03 thyristor modules, which ensures switching of the load in "zero", allows switching of the capacitor up to 25 times in 1 second without the need to discharge it.

The CTU03 is a thyristor switching module designed for dynamic and hybrid power factor correction using single-phase capacitors in symmetrical three-phase systems. Its special construction allows for rapid and smooth switching, making it ideal for applications with fast or periodic load changes, such as welding shops, pressing plants, elevators, and cranes.

Key Features:

Zero-Voltage Switching: The module switches at the moment when the voltage difference between the capacitor and the system is zero, significantly reducing current surges and extending the lifespan of capacitors.
Fast Response: Activation occurs within 10 ms of receiving a signal from the reactive power controller, allowing up to 25 capacitor connections per second without the need for discharging.
Overheat Protection: An integrated temperature sensor protects semiconductors from damage due to high temperatures; the module shuts down if the temperature exceeds 80 °C.
Control Voltage: Available in versions with control voltages of 24 VDC or 230 VAC.
