Contactor K3-18NK10-12,50 kVAr SCHRACK have high quality and robust construction. They are designed for installation in three-phase LV networks.Contactors can be equipped with auxiliary contact blocks. Installed auxiliary contacts with damping resistors (pre-contacts) ensure:

  •  4 HN.. or HA.. snap-in
  •  2 HB.. on the left or right side and 7 HN.. or HA.. snap-on
  •  2 HB.. on the left or right side and 4 HN.. or HA.. snap-on
  • Consider min. conductor cross section at max. load
  • Consider max. thermal current: Ith 130A
  • Type 230 for AC and DC operation 220-240 V 50/60 Hz and 220 V DC ( with integrated coil suppressor ).
  • Type 230VS for AC operation 220-240V 50Hz ( with integrated coil suppressor )
  • reduction of switching current peaks to <70xIn,
  • protection of capacitors against current peaks (usually reaching 200xIn)
  • protection against contact burn-in
  • overall improvement of current and voltage conditions in the network, thus extending their lifetime.

Applications

They use the so-called two-stage switching, which is realized by auxiliary contacts. There is no burning and subsequent welding of the main contacts as was the case with previously used contactors (e.g. V 100, V13).In contrast to conventional contactors, this also dampens transients propagating through the power supply. (telecommunications, PC networks.)

Construction

Auxiliary contacts (pre-contacts) are placed on the contactor body, which switch with an advance of a few milliseconds before the main contacts. By means of resistors connected in series, the current surge is damped to 70 times Ie.

Due to their design, contactors are predestined for high switching frequency and long lifetime. This also extends the reliability and lifetime of the entire compensation device. High switching power up to 100kVAr is also an advantage. The contactor can be equipped with auxiliary contacts (switching, opening) e.g. for remote communication. Mounting on DIN rail or with screws.

The product can also be found under the following designation: contactor K3-18K10 12,5 kVAr, K3-18K10, K3-18 K00...
