1. Patented overpressure disconnector (Patent No. 102005045978)

Operational safety is the number one priority for the FRAKO brand. Each capacitor is equipped with a patented mechanical overpressure disconnector. In the event of internal overpressure (caused, for example, by extreme overloading or the end of its service life), the diaphragm lid of the capacitor safely bulges outward. This results in a controlled disconnection of the internal leads at a precisely defined weakened location (internal fuse). The capacitor is thus permanently and safely disconnected from the grid before any deformation of the casing or equipment failure can occur.

2. Unique self-healing technology (Self-Healing)

The capacitors utilize a special metallized plastic film. If a local insulation puncture occurs due to a voltage spike, the extreme heat at the breakdown point instantly vaporizes the microscopic metal coating around the damaged area. Within a fraction of a second, the full insulating capacity of the film is restored, and the capacitor continues its flawless operation without any interruption in power supply or drop in performance.

3. Maintenance-free and safe connection terminals

The robust FRAKO connecting terminal block ensures perfect and permanent contact. It is designed to be protected against accidental finger contact ("finger-safe") and to withstand vibrations and thermal cycles typical for industrial switchboards. Forget about the need for regular screw tightening.
