In today's world, where energy prices are constantly under scrutiny, it's crucial for every company to efficiently manage its consumption. At KBH Energy a.s., we understand these challenges and offer comprehensive solutions for power management that will help you not only reduce costs but also ensure reliable and optimized operation. We introduce our HMP Quarter-Hour Maximum Regulators – an intelligent solution for controlling and managing your energy consumption.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What are HMP 1/4-Hour Maximum Regulators?
The HMP system is designed for precise regulation of monthly and annual reserved capacity and reserved power, which previously included quarter-hour and technical maximums. However, its functions extend much further: it allows for comprehensive monitoring of both electrical and non-electrical parameters, such as electricity meters, water meters, gas meters, temperatures, and pressures. Thanks to its modular expansion, HMP can also be used for monitoring production, operational status of production lines, and measuring physical quantities. The system's measuring inputs operate on an impulse basis, and AD converters are available for converting other quantities into impulses. Furthermore, HMP regulators are constantly being developed to meet current energy supplier tariffs and specific customer requirements.

Key Features and Benefits of HMP Regulators:
Precise Consumption Regulation and Cost Savings:
The regulators automatically switch agreed monthly reserved capacities according to preset values and real time.
The option to operate in 1/4-hour or 1-hour maximum mode gives you flexibility.
HMP 64M precisely regulates consumption according to the set curve and programmed functions.
HMP 164 is a higher version, ideal for authorized customers with an hourly regulation mode, expanding regulation and monitoring possibilities.
Comprehensive Monitoring and Visualization:
On the regulator's LCD display, you can see the current states of measuring inputs, regulation stages, regulation curve trend, regulated quarter-hour time, and other important values. You also get access to regulation records stored in memory.
The HMP 64 regulator's memory stores data for the last 35 days, while HMP 164 stores up to an incredible 200 days, including detailed regulation quarter-hour trends.
WINHMP energy software for PC provides on-line visualization of instantaneous values of main and auxiliary consumptions, power factor, and the status of regulation stages. It graphically represents the main measurement consumption against the agreed and technical maximum, displays diagrams, graphs, and consumption tables, and generates reports for distribution companies.
Modularity and Expandability for Your Specific Needs:
The HMP 64 (and HMP 164) system is designed modularly, allowing for easy expansion with additional measuring inputs and regulation outputs. All additional modules from the HMP 64 system are compatible with HMP 164.
HMP 64 - VE 8 input modules extend the number of inputs by 8, with up to 15 modules (total up to 120 inputs) connectable to one system. With COME 4 communication modules, up to 1920 inputs can be achieved. These modules can even be used independently for monitoring without an HMP regulator. We offer versions for monitoring binary states (VE 8s), counting electricity meter impulses (VE 8+), or for simple regulation (VE 8r).
HMP 64 - PM 4 output command modules extend the number of outputs of the HMP 64M and HMP 164 regulators, with HMP 164 having 16 outputs in its basic version, expandable up to 40. PM 4 modules can evaluate up to 4 different commands.
Special measuring modules are also available, such as the IST8 impulse temperature sensor (for 8 temperature sensors), the AF 2I/AF 2U current loop-frequency converter (for processing analog outputs to impulses), the ISP 1 active power impulse sensor (single-phase electricity meter for consumption monitoring), and the USO 3 universal consumption sensor (three-phase, monitors consumption and maximum deviations of power, voltage, frequency in 4 quadrants, has 12 electricity meter registers).
The IOM 1 current loop output module processes commands from the HMP regulator and creates a current loop whose current depends on the state of the regulation outputs.
Advanced WINHMP and SWOZ Software:
WINHMP is a bidirectional communication software that allows remote setup of the entire regulator, regulation curves (Pmax), input constants, and communication with modules. It even allows manual regulation of appliances directly from a PC, which overrides automatic regulation. The software runs in a Windows environment and supports network operation.
Data Archiving: The program automatically downloads data from the regulator to the PC, processes it into tables or graphs, including 1/4-hour maximum values, auxiliary measurements, power factor, and records of regulation interventions. Data can be exported for further processing (e.g., in Excel). WINHMP offers daily, monthly, and annual reports, consumption forecasts, and cost calculations.
SWOZ (Software for Authorized Customers): This module is integrated directly into WINHMP and is designed for energy managers of authorized customers with hourly regulation. It facilitates the creation of an ideal hourly consumption diagram for negotiation with energy suppliers. It allows data prediction from historical records (typically a weekly forecast) and subsequent retrospective verification of adherence to tolerance deviation, displayed graphically or as a percentage deviation in tables.
Reliability and Minimal Maintenance:
HMP 64M regulators require no maintenance during operation.
The regulator's precise time is ensured by the DCF 77 module, which synchronizes the real-time clock with a time signal, eliminating the need for manual time setting, including daylight saving/winter time changes.
Flexible Communication:
Communication with a PC is provided via an RS 485 line, with the option of connecting via a telephone line, radio transmission, or the internet network.
Communication modules are available, such as the RS485 / RS232 HMP 64 - RS 2 interface converter (for PC connection), the HMP 64 - KTM telephone modem converter (for communication via telephone modem), and the RDMP 1 and RX 1 radio data transmission modules (for converting data to a radio transmission path and connecting to a radio network).
The HMP 64 - COME 4 communication module extends the RS 485 line to 4 additional branches, allowing more HMP regulators to be connected to one computer or the system to be expanded with additional inputs (up to 1920 inputs).
